  • Can shade sails stay in place all year?

    We would recommend taking your shade sail down as the season ends in September. Equally, we would advise you to remove the shade sail during storms or high winds. During the Summer season, shade sails can stay up all day.

  • How do I clean a shade sail?

    Shade sails are easy to clean, we would recommend you use a soft bristled brush, lukewarm water and mild soap. Do not use any harsh or abrasive chemicals as they will damage the sail. We advise against machine washing the sail, if you do this you risk shrinking the canopy and damaging the water repellent coating.

  • Do shade sails protect me against UV rays?

    Yes, shade sails offer protection against harmful UV rays. Coolfit shade sails offer optimal protection of up to 95% UV protection.

  • How do I know what size shade sail to go for?

    When choosing your shade sail we advise you to go for a smaller size sail, this is because of installation. You must take into account the tension margin this is the space needed to hang the sail on either a pole or wall. When measuring add around 40cm on each side, this is 20cm per corner.
